Activity Instructions
1. Before the Lesson: Set up your anchor chart.2. During the Lesson: Add the definition of an adjective to the
anchor chart .3. Read your students the book: I Need My Monster by Amanda Noll.
4. As you read, have students tell you adjectives from the book
and list them on your anchor chart around the monster.5. Have students use graphic organizer included in pack to design& DESCRIBE their very own monster.
6. Let students create their monsters using construction paper,wiggly eyes, etc.
7. Have students write: “My Monster and Me.” After writing,
have them highlight all the adjectives in their writings. Theyneed to be sure to include all the adjectives from theirorganizer.
