DIPNA PATELAlthough every monsoon is special for as Ilove rains, this one time I remember in par-ticular. It was Rakshabandan and we weredriving to my uncle’s place. It started rainingheavily and the roads became water logged. We were at a place where we couldn’t stopand had to drive through so that the car does-n’t stop midway. It was thrilling, exciting andadventurous ride for all of us.

PARTH OZAI’m the kinds who can sit and enjoy the rains from a distance.I certainly don’t like hitting the roads. But it was one mon-soon when it all changed for me. I was auditioning in Mum-bai and by the time it got over, the roads were completelyflooded and I couldn’t find any mode of transportation to re-turn home. So, against all my apprehensions, I started walk-ing, and as it turned out, it was a lot of fun. Walking on theroads in the rain had never been so much fun.

JHINAL BELANIMy most cherished monsoon memory will be going toTiger Point, Lonavala with my friends. We usually gothere whenever it rains and stay there for a couple ofhours, talking, sipping masala chai and gorging onhot, crispy pakoras. Apart from that there’s a partic-ular corner in my house that I simply love. So whenit’s raining I sit there, sip on some hot coffee and readmy favourite book.

MANAN DESAIMy feelings for rains have always been neutral. Once, Iwas driving in rains and someone tried to overtake medue to which I lost my balance and skidded on the road.I was hospitalized for five days. And during one of thedays in the hospital, it had started raining again, and thenurse who was looking after me served me bhajiyas in-stead of the boring hospital food. We both chatted fortwo hours and since then both of us have been in touch. That’s one instance which I will always remember.
