I would use this in a unit demonstrating how humans and plants are different. It could also be used in showing the students an introductory to the plant life cycle. I would consider planting a introductory to the plant life cycle. I would consider planting a pumpkin seed as well, so students could see how important caring for a plant is as well as the different stages the pumpkin seed goes through before becoming a jack-o-lantern for Halloween!
