Senior Recognition Ads for Yearbook Need Info by March 16th

Information Needed for a Senior Recognition Ad1. Name of Student

2. Text you would like on the page (usually congratulatory or sentimental words about your Senior student)

3. The size of ad you would like (see below for prices and sizes).

4. The design specifics you would like – ideas for colors to use, types of font to use, graphics (if any) to use – these can include favorite sports teams, hobbies, etc. Any information you can provide will help us!

5. Payment in the form of check is preferred and a receipt will either be put in the envelope with the pictures or given to your Senior, unless otherwise stated. Checks should be made to MHS Yearbook.

6. If the Senior Recognition ad is a surprise for your Senior, please let us know and the yearbook staff will keep the information confidential so that they can enjoy the surprise of seeing a thoughtful note from their loved ones when yearbooks are distributed in May.

7. An email that we can send a proof for your approval no later than April 1st.

8. The above information needs to be received by Coach McMillan no later than March 16th to guarantee inclusion in the 2017-2018 Chieftain.

We are proud to award $500 scholarships to several graduating seniors who reside in Muskogee County, meet the listed criteria and are chosen during the interview process. To date, we have assisted more than 29 students attending college for the first time. This year’s recipients will be announced at the Muskogee GOP’s annual Lincoln-Reagan Dinner (date and place to be announced) Recipients are encouraged to attend.

The deadline to receive applications is Friday, March 30, 2018! Eligible applicants must appear before our Scholarship Committee for a short mandatory interview which will help determine winners. If you have any questions feel free to contact us via email or the number listed below.

Muskogee Manual Training High School Alumni Scholarship

The MTHS Alumni Scholarship Program will be awarding a minimum of two $1000 scholarships. The deadline is March 30th!!

Requirements:• 3.0 GPA• Enrolled in a higher education institution• Two letters of recommendation (Non-Family members)• Typed Essay (minimum of 100 words)

• 7 Semester Transcript

Delphia Warren Leadership Scholarship

Each year students from Muskogee County Schools will be given the opportunity to apply for a leadership scholarship of $500 per semester for a total of eight semesters. The recipients must maintain enrollment in an accredited post-secondary college, university or vocational school that offers associate degrees or higher, and maintain a grade point average above 2.5. This is a scholarship program of WaterStone Tax Id #75-150059 and is administered through Greg Gaither’s Edward Jones office in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Recipients are selected by a non-partial selection committee. Deadline is March 10. See Ms. Banks in G103 for application.

High School Scholarship Opportunity Notice from Langston University

This is a notice regarding a scholarship opportunity for high school students who want to major in any field related to agriculture or other related disciplines (botany, accounting and computer science). This scholarship is available to students attending an approved Historically Black College and University (HBCU). The USDA/1890 National Scholars Program is a partnership between the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and the eighteen 1890 Historically Black Land-Grant Universities. The program awards scholarships to students attending one of the 1890 Historically Black Land-Grant Universities, pursuing a bachelor’s degree in agriculture, food, natural resource sciences, or related academic disciplines.
