Media college magazine evaluation
The results that I gathered from my questionnaire, asked to 16-19 year olds, have helped to
determine what this age group want from a college magazine. The questionnaire highlighted that it
should be issued monthly, cover a wide range of subjects not all to do with just college, include
interviews with students and many more features.
The research I done into magazines before this questionnaire enabled me to gain an insight into
what college magazines should include, and then by furthering this information to create suitable
questions and getting helpful answers which will help me create a college magazine that students
will actually enjoy reading and want to have. The results I got from the questionnaire have allowed
me to find out what the target audience think should be in college magazines and what they want
this helps me because my final product will be suited to them and be everything that they want to
see and gain from a college magazine.
In my magazine I am going to include academic advice, student success stories, sex and relationship
Q & A’s, social life and college sports and entertainment because these are the features that
generated the most interest in the questionnaire. The magazines colour scheme will consist of
college colours such as: blues, greens and white as these colours came up more than once. A whole
page dedicated to college events as this would be helpful, tips on personal statements and allow
student input and images of people who actually attend the college.
