GLOSSARY • Matching – All insert pieces in the mailing are serialized
in order, Barcode or OCR, and the tracking system makessure that all pieces have the same value.
• Versioning – All insert pieces have a version number(barcode or OCR). The file determines which versionshould be part of the envelope package.
• Feeder Selective – Inserter feeders feed pieces conditionally based on data. The data can beprovided by piece in a proceeding feeder or a database.
• File Based – The process is driven by a file, as opposed to reading a data-matrix code on a piece(usually a letter) and tracking.» The process can include data including product versions codes, selective pocket feeding,
matching, inkjet inserts, inkjet addressing, and/or logging documents.• BRE – Business reply envelope addressed to county, city or town that the ballot is returned to.

MCS Perfect Track VBM Vote by Mail
The MCS Perfect Track VBM (Vote By Mail) system is intended for mail shops that process mail for local cites, counties and states for vote by mail applications.
Vote by mail demands a unique workflow process that is not common to most mail shops. The MCS Perfect Track VBM, supports the industry’s most common vote by mail applications while offering complete flexibility and high integrity and reporting.
Functionality
• Matching - All insert pieces in the mailing are serialized in order (Barcode or OCR), and thetracking system makes sure that all pieces have the same value.
• Feeder Verification - The system can verify correct version codes in all feeders (Barcodesor OCR Data)
• Feeder Selectivity - Using a file, or data in a barcode, the system can perform conditionalfeeding of inserts
• Printing Variable BRE (Business reply envelope) - Print variable BRE in inserter track• Envelope Printing - Inkjet addressing outer envelope• Diverting - The system can divert pieces that do not meet quality control standards• Reporting - All functions are verified, documented, time stamped, and picture archived
