I consider myself as explorative with a hands-on
mentality, what I love is the multidisciplinary
aspect of designing. The combination of strategy,
researching and prototyping with a strong user
focus is what keeps me going. I am not afraid of
challenges, getting to know my target group or
exploring new disciplines and software.
Throughout the years I gathered a useful set of
methods to guide the design process and tools
to show concepts. I strongly believe in the
responsibility that designers have towards society,
we design the products that are used tomorrow.

EDUCATION
2015 - October Shanghai, Jacob Jensen Design
Workshop Bruynzeel Storage Systems
Earlier this year, Bruynzeel Storage Systems staged
an international competition to design the office
storage system of the future. While there, we joined
Timothy Jacob Jensen in his Shanghai studio to
develop our ideas further. The final concept will
have the chance to be launched as a signature line
by Bruynzeel.
2015 - September Delft, FMM Magazine / ArchitectuurNL
Author of divers columns
I was asked to write columns about my vision on the
new way of working for the Dutch Facility Managment
Magazine and for ArchitectureNL. At the end of 2015
these will be published online and printed.
2015 - July Redmond, Microsoft head-office
Microsft Design Expo 2015
Each year, Microsoft Research sponsors a semester-
long class at leading design schools. Our team has
been selected to present our concept and prototype
at the Expo in Seattle. The challenge was to design
a product, service or solution for someone with a
context-dependent disability. Our creation should
improve that person’s abilities in an existing
context.

2015 - April Delft, Bruynzeel Storage Systems
Winner Design Competition
The knowledge gained by a research-driven course
during the Bachelor, into the strenghts, weaknesses,
and opportunities of open-office layouts, was
used as inspiration for a storage system for the
office of the future for Bruynzeel. This concept
was one out of three winners of an online design
competition.Keywords: Strategy / Furniture Design
2013 - 4 months Amsterdam, Storeage
Internship Full-time
Storeage is an internationally renowned retail
strategy and design agency. My tasks included
ideation, technical detailing and 3d-rendering. For
Google I designed a shop-in-shop concept with the
use of an official toolkit coming from Google. The
design proposition was presented in Dubai together
with the account manager.
2013 - Now Delft, Lijm & Cultuur
Part-time job in hospitality industry
Located at an industrial area different old
buidlings are used for various events and dining
facilities. Sometimes I am just serving beers to
students at a fstival, other days I am the host of a
culinary pop-up restaurant.
2011 - 6 months Amsterdam, AND Revealed
Freelancer Part-time
AND Revealed unites accessories, like watches and
bracelets, with identity. During the development of
a new product line my main tasks were 3d-modelling
with the use of SolidWorks and communication with
the manufacturers in China.
2007 - 2012 Breda, Restaurant Rose & Blini
Part-time job in hospitality industry
I loved working here, both restaurants owned by a
couple are located in a nice part of Breda. Working
there since they opened made me feel like being a
real part of the success.

Industrial Design Engineering at TU Delft is a
multidisciplinary study, where students learn about
every aspect of product design. Elements required to
design for interaction are ergonomics, aesthetics,
interaction design, psychology and sociology. Key
during my design process is Human-Centered Design
and conducting explorative and evaluative user
research.
TU Delft’s BSc architectural minor, in combination
with MSc elective courses, taught me the more expert
skills of designing interior concepts for retail
industry and office environment. Another focal point
is designing for brand identity: TU Delft’s MSc
elective courses, as well as experience gathered
during internships, provided me with a theoretical
overview and hands-on approach of brand elements
and marketing activities that can be used to build
brand equity.
My development as a professional designer is about
learning more in-depth skills and generating more
knowledge and understanding in all disciplines
involvement in designing. My positive and active
attitude make me a valuable teamplayer.
I want to give value to the life of others by
designing products that have meaning besides the
aesthetic value design can give to people’s lives.
