Ensure no toxic plants are around! Cats sometimes chew on leaves, which could prove dangerous.

Even common food might be dangerous!

That being said, remember that there are plenty of food at should not be fed to pets, including cats. Don't leave them around the house.

Consider getting your cats ID tags

Get ID tags. Even if your cats are indoors, should they ever escape, these tags will help bring them home.

Keep bottles of dangerous content away

Keep bottles with toxic content out of reach, eg detergent, pesticides, medications etc.

Strings may get tangled unfortunately

Strings and long loose items should be kept, to avoid having them coil around your cats' necks in a dangerous manner.

Open windows may be a concern too

If you are away often, consider meshing up windows. Cat are curious by nature, they love birds too. That open window might pose a danger.
