Mainstream Recovery Homes
For both Men and WomenLong Island, NY
“Providing a Safe Living Environment for Recovery from Substance Use Disorder”
Our objective is to “mainstream” our members
back into society.631-384-9754
MainstreamHouse Recovery, homes located in eastern Long Island, are
an integrated group of seven (7) male and now one (1) female
community-based recovery homes. All houses are centrally located in
very nice neighborhoods. Each home has a house manager and house
meetings and the entire population comes together for a Mainstream
community meeting on Sunday evenings. Our client-centered philosophy
is based on the 12 Steps and residents attend local 12 Step meetings.
Some attend local outpatient programs, attend college, as well and many
are gainfully employed.
Mainstream homes are within walking distance of a vast number of AA
and NA meetings. Also, close by are six OASAS outpatient programs,
Medical facilities, shopping and employment opportunities. Each house
offers unlimited North American telephone calling. Each house offers a
community computer as well as wireless internet access. Each house
has free use of washers and dryers.
Mainstream is a member of the Association of Addiction Recovery Care
Homes of New York (AARCH). OASAS attends the yearly conference of
AARCH and has an open relationship with OASAS.
The Association of Addiction Recovery Care Homes (AARCH) is a non-
profit network of Recovery Community Residences across the state of
New York.

putting this all together over the past nine years.
