Scheme for Financing Power Plants Using Renewable Energy
Objectives
• Promote renewable energy projects in the country.
Eligibility • F inanc ing is avail itble for establishment of new
Power Projects Us ing Renewable Energy ...vith a
capacity of up-to 20 MW.
• Requ iremen ts of AEOB . concerned regul atory
authority and o ther Governmen t depa rtmen ts in
compliance w ith the prevalent Renewable Energy
Policy of GoP are LO be fulri1 led .
Financing • . Financing is available for purchase of new imported
and local machinery to establish new Powcr Plants
using renewable eneTb')' s(lurCc~ (wind. hyde!, biogas,
bio fucls, bagasse cogcnerat ion , solar power and
geothermal).
~. F innncing is availab le against Letter or Credit on ly,
to the ex tent of C&F Val ue/ex-factory/ sho wroom
price or the new imported or locally manufactured
plant. machinery and equipments.
.. Financing is availa ble thro ugh all commercial banks
and DEs.
• . Princ ipal amount is repayable in equal quarterl y
