QuEST is proud to offer you these high quality online professional development programs. These programs showcase best practice and are delivered by current classroom teachers.
• All courses are available in a live interactive format at the times listed. This is the best way to maximise your learning from the sessions. Alternatively you can choose to view the on-demand recording at a time convenient to you.
• All courses take place after school or in vacation periods to ensure they are accessible to you.
• All participants will receive a certificate of participation which can be used to demonstrate the continuing professional development (CPD) requirements of the Queensland College of Teachers.
• Course cost: $50 incl. GST per session. (Please note – places are limited)
• Alternatively, individuals may choose to purchase a subscription for $250 incl. GST which gives you access to the entire 2020 program. This is a great option for temporary teachers who can sometimes find it hard to complete mandatory professional development requirements.

Springfield Tech Centre has been training adults in a variety of practical courses for the past 5 years. They offer Introductory Metal and Woodwork skills for teachers and more advanced Metal and Woodwork skills for Teachers which are delivered on weekends.
Behaviour Management with Jo LangeFull day program facilitated by Jo Lange an experience behaviour specialist, with over 22 years’ experience.
Jo’s diverse experiences have given her a deep insight and a ‘real life’ perspective, into what influences behaviour. As a presenter, Jo aims to always have participants walk away with effective strategies that are delivered with compassion and humour.
TRUE – Rainbow MattersFull day program delivered by Kristine, a qualified teacher who has experience in early childhood, university and non-government organisation settings.
This workshop draws on research evidence to identify risk and protective factors for student wellbeing and aims to increase awareness of the important role educators and school-based staff play in supporting students and how this can be achieved through inclusive practices that are respectful of diversity.
Supporting Teacher WellbeingFull day program presented by Dr Julie Bower, an educational consultant and an Honorary Research Fellow at The University of Queensland.
This workshop will assist individual teachers and teaching groups to understand the science behind well-being and the role of social emotions in working collaboratively with colleagues. Participants will work on an emotional health toolkit with strategies to take away that can be easily applied throughout their teaching day.
