Reining is the fastest growing FEI sport According to a recent news report in Horse &
Hound magazine, reining is the fastest growing
equestrian sport. With the numbers of riders
taking part in the discipline and FEI reining
competitions rising considerably, interest in
the sport is at an all time high.
For anyone interested in learning more
about the sport, a copy of Reining Dreams is a
must. The book — the second in
LewisHarding’s series focusing on the seven
FEI disciplines — was published in May 2011.
Written by top UK reining competitor
Francesca Sternberg, the book outlines the
techniques behind the required movements
alongside impressive action photographs.

Tim Stockdale to write Jumping Dreams Work has begun on the third
book in LewisHarding’s
series, Jumping Dreams, which
will be written by
top British show jumper
Tim Stockdale.
Following on in the same
format as the previously pub-
lished titles Dressage Dreams
and Reining Dreams, the book
will take an in-depth look into
the world of show jumping,
with images of and interviews
with the best known names in
the sport.
Interest in the title has
already been considerable,
with advance orders flooding
in from Europe, Australia,
Canada and the United States.
“We’re delighted that Tim
will be writing Jumping
Dreams, as his expertise and
enthusiasm for the sport is
second to none, ” said series
editor Valerie Lewis. “Tim’s
knowledge, combined with
striking equestrian images,
will make this a must-buy for
jumping enthusiasts.”
As well as producing
Jumping Dreams, Tim is also
focusing on his own Olympic
goals. He hopes to return to
top level competition follow-
ing an injury in 2011 which
left him with several fractured
vertebrae in his neck.
Jumping Dreams is due for
publication this June, just in
time for the London 2012
Olympic Games.
