Learning Intentions
By the end of this session we:Must understand everything about ICT in
languagesShould be able to implement a whole new
departmental approach to ICT by break time next Tuesday
Could do with a drink and a lie down
No really…
By the end of this session we:Must take just one idea and try it in schoolShould see that ICT can be simple and
effectiveCould share our ideas with others in the
faculty
ICT for ICT’s sake
MFL teachers are already very good at using images, flashcards, OHTs and PowerPoint (PowerfulPoint or PowerPointlessness?)
How do we engage the pupils in using ICT in MFL?
Is ICT best used as process or product or both?
Some practical ideas…Always remember that ICT is a tool and can be part of
the assessment for learning process as well as being
great for creating product - videos, PowerPoints,
Podcasts…
Here are three questions you need to ask yourself when
planning ICT:1.Do I need to use ICT?
2.What will ICT add to my pupils’ understanding?
3.What do I do when it all goes wrong?
Which film?

In order to remove all of the spaces from a piece of text in Word, go to Edit - Replace. In the “Find what” box press the space bar once. Leave the “Replace with” box blank. Then press replace all. Voilà!
Now we are at text level…Je m’appelle Pierre. J’ai quatorze ans. Je
suis grand.
In order to activate track changes, go to the tools menu and click on “Track changes”.
By the end of today we will be able to…
Apply UN AVOCAT, WWW and EBI to a longer text in order to improve it
