    1/3

Every time you do anact of kindness forsomeone, that act ofkindness could have a great impact both onthe life of the personand on the lives of thosewhom that person comes

    in contact with.

One little act of kindness mightnot seem like a whole lot toyou. You could say that all youdid was lend a helping hand, give a hug, pray a prayer,or pay a compliment. But whenyou think about it, that smallact of kindness could be justwhat that person needed toput a smile on their face anduplift their spirit.

    That’s just

    what I needed!

Kindness often pays forward.Even if it only made thatperson more cheerful, thatcheerfulness will be noticed bysomeone else.

But more often, when someone receives an act of kindness, they may feel compelled to pay it forward, to step out and help someone else.

The Bible tells us that in some way it will come back to us. “Give, and it will be given to you. … For with the measure you use, it willbe measured to you” (Luke 6:38 NIV). You may not receive the exactkindness you showed, but the measure you give will come back to you.

You never know what someone is going through. Perhapstheir life isn’t miserable, but they may be lonely, angry, fearful, sick, or going through some other hardship.

There are so many people whoare in need of encouragementand kindness. And we can bean example of Jesus’ love andcare when we are an “angel”in someone’s life. In Luke 6:31

He says, “Do to others as youwould have them do to you”(NIV).

“Be ye kind one to another …”(Ephesians 4:32 KJV). Andremember that the kindnessyou show will be paid forward,

as well as come back to you.
