Almost half of the population of Bangladesh is employed in the agriculture sector, which accounts for roughly 15% of the country’s GDP. Yet despite rapid growth in digital financial services, particularly mobile money, formal financial products tailored to the agriculture sector are still generally lacking. This infographic attempts to illustrate some of the opportunities that already exist to digitize transactions, savings, and credit within the Bangladeshi agriculture sector.
