Mission Statement
Through proper guidance the Little League program assists youth in developing the qualities of citizenship, discipline, teamwork and physical well-being. By espousing the virtues of character, courage and loyalty, the Little League Baseball program is designed to develop superior citizens rather than superior athletes.

Playing Up
“Playing Up” is only approved by the
Kensico Little League Executive Board to
make the league work.
– For example:
BB Majors 36 players = 4 teams of 9
BB AAA Minors 70 players = 6 teams of 14
Instead, Move 8 AAA players up to Majors
BB Majors 44 players = 4 teams of 11
BB AAA Minors 62 players = 5 teams of 12+

Rules for All Divisions
1 Manager, 2 Game Coaches, plus Practice
Coaches
Only Manager and Game Coaches allowed in
dugouts and on field during games.
Practice Coaches allowed for practices.
Proper Uniform and Equipment Required
Respect for Umpires and Sportsmanship
Required from Players, Coaches, Fans.
Game Rules in Accordance with Little League
and Kensico Rules.

EquipmentWhite baseball pants and rubber cleats.
Black softball pants and rubber cleats.
Sliding shorts are recommended.
Male players must wear a protective cup with athletic supporter.
Approved bats are listed at www.littleleague.org.
Batters must wear NOCSAE protective helmets during batting
practices and games.
Batting/catcher’s helmets shall not be painted.
Catchers must wear catcher’s helmet (with face mask and throat
guard), chest protector, shin guards, long model chest protector
(baseball), and protective cup with athletic supporter at all times
during practice sessions and games.
Pelvic protectors are highly recommended for Softball Catchers.
Fielding Masks are required for Softball Infielders and Pitchers.

All games are three innings
Each player will bat each inning
All hitting is done off a tee
All hits are singles (last batter hits HR)
Cleats and white baseball pants
Managers and game coaches (only) are allowed on the field and in the dugouts
Practice coaches and other parents must remain
outside of the field

Game Dates: every Sunday from late April
thru mid June except Memorial Day
Game Times: approximately 1 hour, with start
times per published schedule
Game Location: Pat Henry Field
Practices: 1 hour per week at time/place
determined by manager
