Katie Incantalupo, vicepresident of Human Resourcesand Marketing at Star Bank, isa recipient of the NorthwesternFinancial Review / BankBeatmagazine ‘OutstandingWomen in Banking’ award for2018. Incantalupo is one offive bankers who received theaward.

Each fall, Bank-Beat honorswomen in banking who havemade outstanding contribu-tions to their bank, industry,and community. The statesthat are involved in the awardinclude Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Montana, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota,South Dakota, Wisconsin andWyoming.

Harry Wahlquist, StarBank’s President and CEOstates, “Katie helped put StarBank on the map. Her workoutput has been a key driver in our financial growth overthe last five years.”

Star Bank had $146 millionin assets at the end of the second quarter in 2012. Just

six years later, the bank has$270 million in assets and asuite of new digital bankingproducts which help customersmanage their finances in a convenient way. Star Bank continues to recruit and hirenew employees from its localcommunities to assist bankcustomers with their personaland business banking needs.Wahlquist attributed the recentgrowth to the bank’s marketingstrategies and the acquisition ofa busy branch office in WrightCounty.

Incantalupo has been withStar Bank since October 2010.In addition to completing theGraduate School of Banking in Colorado curriculum, Incantalupo holds a master’sdegree in Corporate Leadershipfrom Bethel University, and abachelor’s degree in MassCommunication from DrakeUniversity. She was previouslyemployed in financial servicesby Deluxe Corporation andAffinity Plus Federal CreditUnion.

When she is not at work forStar Bank, Incantalupo is a

local volunteer with the Ameri-can Red Cross and serves as anelected member of the TiffanyCircle National Council withthe American Red Cross or-ganization in Washington D.C.

Incantalupo is a second generation community banker.

She is the daughter of StarBank President/ CEO, HarryWahlquist. Brother, AndyWahlquist, is also employed at Star Bank and their two siblings are involved in thebank as members of a familycouncil.
