available for members to display their artwork (up to 20 items). Submit your jpgs to Yolanda at [email protected]. Pictures must be 72 dpi x 800 width. In addition to your pictures, submit a brief statement about yourself as an artist, a contact email for patrons interested in your work, and information about the work (such as size, medium (oil, acrylic, watercolor), type of support (canvas, linen, paper), cost of work).

7:00-10:00 PM, $59/6 sessions
In this class we will cover camera settings, composition, portrait lighting and posing, filters and flash photos. Includes one field trip. Bring your digital camera.

Studio Teachers Background
Manuel Barillas is an outstanding artist and has won many awards. He currently teaches oil painting in Downey, CA. Larry Ellis has over 25 years experience as a professional photographer. He is experienced in all aspects of photography. He is truly amazing and his work can be seen at the Gallery. Maria Leon is a teacher and has taught at Barnsdale Park. She is a delightful instructor who will share her many secrets of sculpting. Ron Pettie has taught Art Appreciation for 10 years and is a professional oil artist and teacher. He is a California credentialed to teach at the community college level. He has attended the Chouinard School of Art and the Otis College of Art and Design. He is known as the Art Coach. Rob Stewart is a professional photographer, oil painter, and muralist. He is an expert graphite and drawing artist. **The Arbor Academy of Art & Gallery invites new instructors in the areas of watercolor, drawing, portraiture and figures, and clay sculpture. The Arbor Academy of Art and Gallery is an organization that is self-supporting and sustaining. It is
currently organized as an LLC. Membership is $75/year. Membership benefits include a 100%
commission to the artist and a Gallery website listing. For membership information,

Make an appointment and bring in 3 samples of your work—artists receive 100% of the sale—no gallery commission (95% of sale with credit card purchase). Membership is $75/year and includes a listing on the gallery website with a short artist statement, bio picture, and up to 20 works of art. There is a $30 registration fee per show and a moderate hanging or placement fee. We include art cards, ceramics, sculpture, jewelry, and glass as well as paintings in the monthly art shows. The gallery provides regular hours, a Gallery Manager, advertising, curating of the show, special placement, a provenance label for the artwork, show booklet listing artist names, and monthly emails to over 1000 patrons and artists. The Gallery is on Facebook and YouTube. The Gallery does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion (creed), gender, gender expression, age, national origin (ancestry), disability, marital status, sexual orientation, or military status, in any of its activities or operations.
The Photo Cove Larry Ellis is the director of the Photo Cove.
He has taught photography for many years.

The next show, A Flurry of Flowers:
Explosions of Color, opens on June
3 in combination with the main
gallery show. Photographs must be
at least 8x10 and no larger than
16x20. The maximum number of
photographs that can be submitted is four. Larry Ellis, artist
Photographer submission starts on Wednesday, May 24 and
ends on Thursday, June 1, 2017.
There is a fee of $8 per piece. Exhibitors must be current members or join at time of exhibiting.
