•Start by opening your web browser

•  Type myVolunteerPage.com in the browser address bar to access the “Volunteer Login” page

•Enter the Username and Temporary Password that was emailed to you by the Exploratorium Administration

•Click the “Login” button

Logging in brings up the “Home” page. The Main Menu tabs are:

If you make changes to data in any of the tabs or sub-tabs, you must click “Save” in that tab to record those changes.

Otherwise your changes will not be saved.

• Locate the 5 circle icons to the right of theMain Menu tabs*

•Click the ? icon to access the Website User Guide

•  Click each of the 3 font adjustment icons and choose the font size that works for you

•Select the round red “Log Out” icon to exit

•Sign up for specific activities

•  Create Privacy Settings for your schedule

•  Filter the list of volunteer activities

•View activity assignments if applicable

•Review, confirm or decline existing assignments

•  Generate/print your schedule

•Add your assignments to a personal calendar

•Display your logged hours (if applicable)

•  Remove entries if necessary

•  View hours currently logged for you by staff

•Contact the Volunteer Managers

•Communicate with Administrators

•Send an email to the main contact from an organization

•Resign from the Exploratorium

•View a bar chart showing total hours logged foryou over the last 12 months in the "Hours" section

•View a chart of your accomplishments loggedand your hours goals

•Produce a "Detailed Hours Report" summarizing your hours and achievements

•View your report on screen or export it for printing

•Create a new profile

•Update your current profile

•Update emergency contact information

•Select qualifications and interests

•Specify your availability

•Set a goal for the number of hours you wish toachieve with each organization you belong to

•Select the “My Profile” tab

• Locate the “My Profile” sub-tabs under the main menu*

•View the "Basic Info" sub-tab (opens by default)

My Profile Sub-tabs: Basic Info | Additional Info | QualificationsInterests | Availability | Goals

*My Profile must be selected to access the sub-tabs

*Passwords should be at least 8 characters long and include upper andlower case letters, digits, and symbols. Keep a copy in a secure location.

•Click the “Change Password” button above thephoto icon

•Create your new password*

•Enter your new password two times as requested

•Click the “Save” button to save your changes

•Select the “Change” link under the photo icon to upload a picture of yourself

•Click “Choose File” in the pop-up box

•Select a photo* on your computer and click “Open”

•  Select the highlighted “Upload” button to replace the photo icon with your photo

*Click “Save” in each tab. Look for pop-up “Updated successfully” in upper right corner to confirm the system has saved your changes.

•Select the “Additional Info” sub-tab

•  Enter emergency contact information that is accurate and up to date *this is essential*

•Add personal information you wish to share

•Click the “Save” button* to save your changes

•Fill in the “References” section

•Complete the “Groups” section if applicable

•Click the “Save” button to save your changes

•Select the “Qualifications” sub-tab

•  Complete “Qualifications for Exploratorium”

•Select a value in each of the drop-down lists

•  Click the “Save” button to save your changes

•Select the “Interests” sub-tab

•Check off things you are interested in volunteering for at the Exploratorium

•Click the “Save” button to save your changes

•Select the “Availability” sub-tab

•Check the appropriate boxes to indicate when you are generally available to volunteer

•Click the “Save” button to save your changes

•Select the “Goals” sub-tab

•Set a goal (optional) – Enter a start and/or end date for your

volunteer period – Enter a goal for the number of hours you

wish to achieve in the “Hours” field

•Click the “Save” button to save your changes

•Select the “Contact” tab in the Main Menu

•Click on a button in the “To” section to select a volunteer coordinator or committee name (one selection is permitted)

•Enter a subject and body text for your message

•Click “Browse” and select files you wish to attach

•Click the “Send Email” button

Intro to myVolunteerPage.comEmailing from an Organization/Contact Tab

•To send an email from an organization to the main contact for the Exploratorium:

•Select the “Contact” tab in the Main Menu

•  Scroll Down to “Organizations”

•  Click the “Main Contact” link to send an email

•  Enter subject and body text and click “Send Email”

•Select “Resign from Exploratorium” if you are no longer available to volunteer.

•Click “Save” in whatever tab you are making changes to or your changes will not be saved

•  Confirm that changes have been made in the “Updated Successfully” pop-up window

•  Mouse over the “info” icons (an “i” inside of a circle) for additional information

•Upload a photo of yourself (no avatars)

•Update and verify emergency contact info
