M1 (4th year):
-a yearly specialized M1 course taught by invited external (European)
lecturers
M2 (5th year):
-taught entirely in English
-presence of students from;
-various Italian Universities: Padova, Trieste, Milan, Roma
-Cambridge University, U Colorado, U. of Barcelona, etc.
-includes »Erasmus » courses : 1 week modules taught abroad
Italy: Padova, Roma, Firenze, Trieste, Milan
Spain: Barcelona
-Joint degree programs with some universities (e.g. Milan)
Fellowships Students also receive a stipend (± 600€/month) from the lab where they do their research
These international students will then also be eligible for dedicated PhD fellowships (Cofund EC PhD
program)

Important for you
-To be highly motivated
- Teaching system in France is different compared to Italy
-One exam at the end of each one week module
-No possibility to pass several times the exam (excepting for medical
reasons)
-Less lessons to learn by heart but more analysis, presentations etc..
-You must have all (or almost all) the credit corresponding to the M1 because it will
be difficult to go back in Italy during the first or second semester. Furthermore, this is
required to obtain the degree in June if you wish apply for a PhD program in France
(in February for the international PhD program)
-Since the program exists, 100 % of the students obtained the degree
