ARCHITECTURAL TECHNOLOGY IS ABOUT...
The term ‘built environment’ is used when referring to those surroundings created for humans, for human activity. The study of the built environment is interdisciplinary in nature and is comprised of three main columns of knowledge. Creative interior and exterior space planning, combined with technical specification and sustainability, woven together with contextual design and human-centred design. The Built Environment Faculty focusses on the design maintenance of the Built Environment. Accredited qualifications currently offered in this faculty include; Bachelor of Design (Interior Design), Bachelor of Design (Environmental Design), Diploma in Interior Design, Higher Certificate in Architectural Technology, Higher Certificate in Interior Decorating and Bachelor of Arts Honours in Design.
