Installing Salesforce Mobile on your Android I recommend being on Wi-Fi to install the application, log in to Salesforce, and to synchronize your data. Additionally Android phones are different than Apple iPhones in that each carrier/manufacturer customizes the look & feel slightly. Your process may look slightly different than this, hopefully this guide will still be effective. On your phone, open the Marketplace (Google Play, Play Store, etc)
Click the Search icon to search for Salesforce Mobile

Type salesforce mobile in the search box. Click Salesforce Mobile in the list of apps
Click the Install button
Click Accept & download to complete the install

After the app is installed, open it
Click I Agree to accept the license agreement

Enter your Salesforce login/password and click Activate
After Activating, it will synchronize your data - DO NOT LEAVE THIS SCREEN while it is performing this operation
You will need to enter a PIN to access Salesforce mobile, this is different than your Salesforce password. I recommend using a PIN similar to the one you have to unlock your phone (for ease of remembering). Enter a PIN and click Go

Then you will be logged in. I am including some tips here, but I recommend you review the short training links in the Help menu.

I don't synchronize my Contacts from Salesforce to Outlook and instead use Salesforce Mobile to access Contacts, etc. I can go to the Accounts button to

find an Account and Contact, or click the Contacts button to find that person directly.
Contacts are Related to the Account (if you started with the Account), so you will find them in the Related section(s)

When I click on Tom’s phone, it will ask me to Dial him. You can also click his email to email him and it will add that to the Contact record Activity History. After calling him returning to the Salesforce Mobile app, I can log that call automatically (you can turn that off in the Settings, but I find that helpful)
