MARIA JORDANIbiza Island, the place where dreams really do come true! I have visited Ibiza for two years in a roll and I felt in love with the authentic Spanish culture, the turquoise clear waters and the electrifying atmosphere at night. I decided to write about my perception of Ibiza and share this with the world . I discovered the true essence of the Island and was fascinated to explore the tradition dating back to 14th Century when I first visited Ibiza Town, I soaked up the atmosphere and of course I made time to enjoy the sound of world class DJs, read my reviews of the closing parties on PAGE X. What was suppose to be a small blog post reviewing Ibiza has become a magazine as there is just too much to share.

On the island you will be able to enjoy spectacular sunsets over the Mediterranean, bathe in crystal-clear waters or just relax, regenerate and revive! The most rural Ibiza
Are you a nature-loving traveller wanting to explore the outskirts of Ibiza?
In the village of Sant Joan the two most emblematic buildings are the small Casa Consistorial, the home of the town council and the church. The municipality is made up of four parishes: Sant Joan, Sant Miquel, Sant Vicent and Sant Llorenç. They are small villages
in which local neighbors’ live side by side with people who have arrived from all over the world wanting to seek peace and quiet in the most rural depths of Ibiza.
It is the area of the island with the lowest number of inhabitants and it stands out because it offers the wildest natural landscapes, with spectacular cliffs that have been
declared as a Natural Area of Special Interest, since both flora and fauna of great value live side by side in its ecosystems. It has always been an area famed for its great number of springs, for the quality of its honey and for the fertility of its land, tinted an intense rust red colour.

Hotel Review
Monday morning, we are sitting in the office and glazing through magazine pages of hotels in Ibiza. It was a light bulb moment when we came across The Ushuaia beach hotel!
This is it! This is what we have been searching for over five weeks.
The artistic layout and raw deco designed by La Maison De L'Elephant welcomes you into a world full of imagination.
The delicious Japanese sushi and Teppanyaki restaurant got our taste buds buzzing and the flavour puts a new spin to Asian foods.
After four days of non stop sightseeing we checked into the Ushuaia spa, they offer untwist
spa treatments and beauty salon services to ensure the guests look magnificent during their stay. Perhaps, your thing is to lay by the beach and top up the tan before returning home, join the Ushuaia experience and relax on the private beach with your personal waiter service.
Oh, and just when we thought we couldn’t get any more spoiled for things to do, at night, Ushuaia transforms and welcomes international DJs on its stage and guests can enjoy live sets and performances by the pool or from the comfort of their villa balcony.
Join us on page XXXX as we rock up to Ushuaïa for the party of the season!

ARE YOU A GAMBLER?
Have you asked yourself why you are going to Ibiza this year? Are you looking forward to a reviving experience? Are you ready for action? If so Ibiza Gran Hotel is just for you!
A short drive from the airport, Ibiza Gran Hotel is located near Ibiza Town and a very short walk away from Pacha.
The classic layout and extravagant deco has the ‘X factor’. The Las Vegas kinda hotel, had us spoilt for choice from the casino's game room, a new slot machine room, the Jackpot restaurant to the Casino Bar and of course no
gambling night can go down without a selection of sizzling cocktails.
If this is not your thing, perhaps winding down and losing track of time during a relaxing spa ritual ticks your box.
In 2012, we stayed at the Grand Suite Vanity Fair and oh did we fall in love! The top floor apartment guarantees breath-taking views of the Mediterranean and at night why not search for the stars from the comfort of your bathtub?! Yes, this exquisite penthouse has no limits. We are certainly going back! Are you?

USHUAÏA BEACH: THE CLUB
Ushuaia Club Review
Ushuaïa Beach Hotel has only been opened for two seasons and it has already made its way to the very top of the Ibiza Party scene.
“How is it possible for a hotel /club to beat the odds and retain the title from Ibiza's most iconic and worldwide known club – Pacha?”Ma!a Jordan
Ushuaia offers a different concept to its guests; something as simple as a party by the pool has all of the sudden made everyone excited. Ushuaia prides itself as having the world's best DJs playing on the decks on its enormous stage and to make their point even bolder they have created “The Hall of DJ's Fame” something only done on Hollywood Boulevard.
During the 2012 season, tickets were sold out for Fat Boy Slip and David Guetta’s F*** Me I’m Famous tour every Monday, Swedish House Mafia on Wednesdays, Luciano on Thursdays, Sasha on Fridays and Nervo every Monday from September.
Next season, Ushuaïa promises even more expansion. The recent announcement of “The Ushuaïa Tower” marks the next chapter; a majestic eight level tower located next door to the existing venue, which will form part of Ushuaïa Ibiza Beach offering luxurious suites with spectacular sea views and an infinity pool. In line with the current concept, The Ushuaïa Tower will offer an innovative minimalist design as well as state-of-the-art technology and unlimited access to all the events and services of Ushuaïa Beach Hotel.
LUCIANO'S CLOSING PARTY AT USHUAÏA BEACH HOTEL & CLUB
Luciano Closing Party Review
I attended the Luciano's closing party at Ushuaïa on 27 September 2012. I must say I could not content my excitement after meeting Luciano at the DJ Awards two days before where he was crowned the winner of Best party/parties of the year with ENTER and Cadenza Vagabundos.
The event started at 17:00 with an unperturbed pre pool party with cocktails and relaxed tempo beat music. To our surprise DJ Solomum, winner of ‘Best Producer’ at the respected Ibiza DJ Awards 2012 stepped on stage and played a flawless set, setting the guests for a memorable night
ahead. The closing event kicked off with performances from Ushuaïa’s three resident DJs; Raúl Rodriguez, Juan Ma, and Kike Radikal, followed by Onno and Uner, the latest recruits of Cadenza Records.
As the sun went down Reboot from Cadenza Records stepped up behind the decks to pump up the crowds with his 'dynamite' electro-beats.
We decided to use our backstage passes and join Luciano & friends on stage.
Lost in transition is the perfect term to describe the atmosphere
and music. The ambiance was simply indescribable and even after mingling with the crowd and then going to the VIP area, the passion for music Luciano bought during his set sent shock waves to each and every person. Apart from the dazzling cocktails, the stunning surroundings, the world class DJ sets - the closing event also offered state-of-the-art pyrotechnics and awe-inspiring performances featuring acrobats, pole dancers and show girls as well as giant inflatable animals that wormed their way through the crowds of dancers in fantastical Ushuaïa style.

F MEI ’M IN IBIZA
Tiesto and David Guetta’s Review
The question I have been asking myself is what makes us tick? Why do millions of people book trips to Ibiza every year? Is it the great music or the beautiful surroundings? I don’t know about you but for me they both matter, that’s why visiting Pacha was a must! I was lucky enough to attend three separate events during my trip! Tiesto's closing event on 24 September gave me my first insight to the wonders of Pacha. What a night! The theme was black and white (very Tiesto), Pacha's resident DJ Graham Sahara was behind the decks pumping up the crowd. The warm up set was uplifting and energising, R3HAB's powerful DJ set
followed straight after. He later introduced Tiesto to the stage and the crowed screamed with excitement. His appearance behind the decks showed exactly why he was voted ‘The Greatest DJ Of All Time’ by Mixmag in 2011.
The second event at Pacha was the DJ awards and after party was on Tuesday 24 September 2012. Yet another great event with another mind-blowing theme! Read more about the DJ Awards on PAGE XXX insert page numbeR
I couldn't leave Ibiza, without a sneak peek at David Guetta's F*** me I'm Famous Closing Party at Pacha. Cathy Guetta's
tasteful and elaborate design visions can be sensed throughout the venue. Free candy anyone? The romantic theme, the love swings, the erotic dancers and the carefully handpicked colour scheme lets you know you are in for an awesome night! On the decks we had David Guetta, Afrojack, Daddy's Groove &J.P Candela. Near to the end, David and Aftrojack out staged each other by playing the newest house tunes back to back. The great teamwork definitely gave the crowd more than they bargained for.
It’s no brainer; you can't leave Ibiza without visiting Pacha!

Inside Ibiza interviews R3HAB
You're renowned for your remixes; you take any song and make it your own. Would you say that you feel more at home remixing other people’s songs or do you prefer making your own music?
I love doing both, although I have to say that making a remix is always difficult because it almost never gets any better than the original track, but when a remix is done and it is being appreciated, that’s just a great feeling.
Which Ibiza clubs will you be DJing in this year?
That’s still to be confirmed, but be sure I will have some special surprises for my fans.
You are always bringing out new material, can you give us aninsight to the DJ collaborations you have coming up for the summer?
I have been working together with Jason Derulo, Flo-Rida, Akon and on an upcoming remix with Cher so all very exciting!
If you had to pick one unforgettable experience of Ibiza, what would it be?
I couldn’t pick one, it is all one great experience to be on Ibiza! I love it, it’s a great island
When you visit Ibiza, what is your favourite thing to do besides DJing?
When I have free time I like to rent a boat and visit some of the beautiful beaches around the island and hang out with friends.
When you are in Ibiza, where do you stay?
That depends on where I’ll have gigs but probably at Ibiza Gran Hotel.
We first saw you at Tiesto’s closing party, your set was uplifting and we loved the remixing collaboration. Are you planning to join Tiesto at Pacha again this year and if so, what can we expected?
I don’t know if Tiësto is playing again at Pacha but if he is and he would ask me you can expect a lot of Chainsaw madness!
Can you recommend three must see places in Ibiza?
OK, the first one is Ushuaïa Beach Hotel, the second one has to be Cala Jondal beach and of course Restaurant B.for
What can we look forward to from R3HAB this year?
I have a compilation album coming out on CR2 records, new R3HAB originals and lots of production work.
We can not wait, thanks R3HAB!
Tatyana Jordan
Tatyana Jordan interviews R3HAB Ahead of this year’s season parties we want to find out what he has in store for the fans favourite spots on the island.
“Only the outside walls belong to El Divino. Inside everything is completely new. Everything has changed.” Juanan Martinez
LIO Ibiza Review
LIO IBIZAThey say good things come to those who wait
Now, after almost two years of meticulous planning, restructuring and renovation, the venue formerly known as El Divino has opened it’s doors. Little remains of the once-prominent superclub El Divino. The interior has been completely gutted and rebuilt to accommodate an impressive restaurant and club under the new guise: ‘Lio’. The brainchild of Pacha owner Ricardo Urgell, Lio is a remarkable new dining concept never before seen in Ibiza.
“We’ve renovated the whole building” says Juanan Martinez of Pacha who, alongside Urgell and Francisco Ferrer, has helped drive the project to completion.
Situated in a prime spot in the Ibiza marina with idyllic views of Dalt Vila, Lio is primarily a restaurant and cabaret club of lavish proportions, with a visual and culinary feast of flamboyance and romantic live
fantasy. On any of the two stages (one inside, the other situated over a covered catwalk-length swimming pool overlooking the sea) expect an assortment of shows, with no single performance the same as the last. Burlesque performers, go-go girls and
international artists have contributed to the ostentatious affair, and when you’re not watching the spectacle on stage you’ll be entertained by the flaming theatrics of the open air kitchen. Serving international and Japanese fusion fare.
Diners can watch specialist robata chefs,
preparing poultry, fish, meat and vegetable cuisine from the comfort of their table.
The food is delicious, the atmosphere is very laid back, the performances are spectacular, the view is breathtaking, trying to find a negative but we don’t think we can.
Why not try something different this year? Visit Lio and have the time of your life!
LIO...Where food of unimaginably yumminess made all of our dresses tight!” Ma!a Jordan
DJ AWARDS Review
Inside Ibiza were invited to attend the 15th Edition of the annul DJ Awards held in Ibiza.
The first awards ceremony took place in 1998 organised by founder Jose Pascual (Ibiza's organiser Guru) and Lenny Kraru DJ/Producer & Record Label Owner. The DJ Awards have in their own right become worldwide known and have attracted international superstar talent.
During the press call and cocktail party at the Ocean Drive Hotel, prior to the ceremony, we were given the opportunity to mingle with the nominees.
Later, the event moved to Pacha for the ceremony and after party. I was pleasantly surprised by the exceptional service and the acts on stage. The canapés were delicious and the champagne was sizzling. Pacha yet again out-shined with their extraordinary deco and theme for the evening, everything was tastefully designed. The nominees were seated and we were ready to snap the winners and their acceptance speeches.
The ceremony was presented by the UK duo of Des Paul and Lucy Horobin. During this edition, 9 special Awards were added and judged by an independent music panel and 10 categories voted by YOU – the public. The categories included House, Techno, Downtempo, Deep House, Dubstep/Bass (new) and Deep House a few to mention
During the ceremony we had the privilege to seat back and indulge in a live performance from Aimee Sophia, her sensational voice sent goose bumps across the audience.
At the after party we were joined by the funky Hercules & Love Affair, for a sing-along gig until the early hours of the morning.
Some of the special awards winners included, Party Non Stop Pirupa voted as Track of the season, Pacha Magazine won yet again the title of the best publication. Solomun was voted as the best producer for 2013. Lenny Kravitz performances at Ibiza 123 won Ibiza Live Performance for 2012.
