Interest in a new multidisciplinary subject on Culture & Health
Interest has been expressed in developing a new multidisciplinary undergraduate subject on 'Culture & Health', which would include a substantial indigenous component.
It is likely this would be pitched at Year 2 (AQF Level 6) but could also be undertaken at Years 1 or 3.

Comments
‘It not just the students who need to be learning its also staff members of Latrobe who could benefit from becoming more culturally aware…
…It might mean that their Indigenous students will feel more supported and in turn choose to finish their course. Just a thought…’

Comments
‘I would like to see indigenous health & its determinants championed by our university community …
… geographically our rural school sites are located in areas where indigenous groups reside and our Bundoora campus is adjacent to the City of Darebin, the largest locale of urban indigenous groups.’
