Played a significant role in the formation of the United States, and is considered the father of his country.
A military marvel and brilliant statesmen, gave him his status as the greatest American who ever lived.

Born April 13, 1743 in Shadwell, Virginia.
3rd President of the United States of America
Writer of the Declaration of Independence and the Virginia Statute for Religious Freedom.

Boston Tea Party
A direct action by colonists in Boston, against the British government and against the Tea Act.
Colonists thought the act violated their right to be taxed only by their own elected representatives.
Local colonial activists disguised themselves and Mohawk Indians and boarded ships to dump all containers of tea into harbor.
Remains an iconic event in American history.

Marked the outbreak of open arm conflict between the Kingdom of great Britain and the thirteen colonies.
