Imperialism Cartoon Project

Due end of class Friday

TaskCreate a visual representation of European Imperialism in Africa or Asia during

the late 19th Century accompanied by a one paragraph written explanation.

Possible Topics

The causes, impacts, benefits and/or costs of imperialism in Africa and/or Asia.

Image should directly or indirectly refer to people, events and concepts discussed in

HW #12 or HW #13

Format

- Must fit on a standard sheet of paper.

- Hand drawn, collage or digital – color strongly encouraged.

- Include a write up (on back or separate sheet) that explains the direct and/or

indirect references to concepts on Unit Outline in your visual creation.

Criteria- Creativity (Shows interesting & unique approach)

- Historical Accuracy (References significant appropriate evidence)

- Write Up (Shows a thoughtful & detailed understanding of imperialism)
