… Chiameremo video partecipativo (...) “un insieme di applicazioni alternative delle tecnologie audiovisuali in progetti di sviluppo” o in progetti di intervento sociale e politico, “il cui scopo è di produrre cambiamento sociale” o trasformazione individuale.
Caratteristica comune a queste applicazioni è quella di porre l’accento sull’aspetto partecipativo del processo di produzione audiovisiva.
Ciò che determina la possibilità d’impatto sociale di un video non è tanto il suo argomento “sociale”, quanto lo svolgersi sociale, collettivo e partecipato del suo farsi.
