The AAF FM-II is a heavy-duty, self-contained fan filter module designedto achieve class 10,000 to 100downflow air supply where use ofconventional ducted modules is

impractical or where the air supplyhas insufficient static pressure tomove air through a HEPA filter.

The FM-II module can be used to

upgrade existing cleanrooms or toconvert an existing space to acleanroom environment without

additional ductwork or air handlingequipment. It is also ideal for use in amini-environment laminar flowworkstation.

The FM-II module can be suspendedindependently on rigid hangers wheninterfaced with suspended ceilingsystem, to provide laminar clean airfor process equipment, critical areas,or work zones.

It is suitable for semiconductor,electronics, flat panel and disk drivemanufacturing, optical, biologicalindustries and other applicationswhere airborne contaminants mustbe carefully controlled.

Self-Contained Stainless SteelFan/Filter ModuleThe FM-II module is comprised of astainless steel housing with a highperformance, encapsulated, directdriven backward curved centrifugalfan/motor combination, and a

replaceable AAF AstroCel@ FMHEPA (99.999% efficiency on 0.3jlm) or optional ULPA (99.9995% on0.12 Jlffi) filter. Each filter is factoryscanned to ensure leak-free operationand guaranteed performance.Optional inlet collar is available.

The sturdy construction of thestainless steel housing eliminatesbypass leakage and resists damageduring shipping and handling. It canbe sterilized with disinfectant,

making it suitable for sterileapplications. Color bond steel oraluminum housings are optional.

Low Off-Gassing ComponentsAll components are low off-gassing tomeet stringent requirements ofspecific industries.

Speed ControlA solid-state speed controller ismounted on top of the unit asstandard for single phase motor.

High Total Static Pressure AtFull Airflow

The low-pressute drop of theAstroCel@FM filter, in combinationwith the high total static pessure ofthe fan, provides an external staticpressure of 50 to 100 Pa at full ratedairflow. It allows for additional

attachment of an optional prefilter.

Low Noise LevelThe FM-II module has a low noiselevel of 53 dBA at 1 meter with cleanfilter at full rated air flow.
