INSTALL ALL DUCT MOUNTED DEVICES (DAMPERS, ACCESS DOORS, ETC.) AND PIPING SPECIALTIES IN EASILY ACCESSIBLE LOCATIONS. ADVISE THEENGINEER IN ADVANCE OF INSTALLATION IF ACCESS WILL BE HINDERED SO AN ALTERNATE LOCATION CAN BE SELECTED.
ALL DUCT TAKE-OFFS SHALL BE INSTALLED AS SHOWN BY DETAILS ON THE PLANS. PROVIDEMARKERS AT ALL DAMPER LOCATIONS SHOWING FULL OPEN/CLOSED POSITIONS AND DAMPER SETTING FOR REQUIRED AIRFLOW. PROVIDE FINALTEST AND BALANCE REPORT ALONG W/ SCHEMATIC DRAWINGS SHOWING DIFFUSER LOCATION W/ DESIGN AND ACTUAL CFM. THE DIFFUSER TAGS ONTHE DRAWINGS SHALL CORRESPOND TO THE DIFFUSER TAGS ON THE REPORT. THIS REPORT SHALL BE SUBMITTED BEFORE THE FINAL INSPECTION ISPERFORMED.
THE CONTRACTOR SHALL FIRESTOP ALL PENETRATIONS OF FIRE RATED WALLS/FLOORS/CEILINGS BY DUCTWORK PIPING, ETC., WITH U.L. LISTED FIRESTOPPING MATERIAL TO MAINTAIN FIRE RATING OF THE BARRIER.
WIND LOAD PROTECTION OF ROOF MOUNTED EQUIPMENT AND DUCTWORK SHALL BE PROVIDED IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 16 OF THEINTERNATIONAL BUILDING CODE, 2006 EDITION. ALL WIND LOAD RESTRAINT AND BRACING SHALL BE SUBSTANTIATED BY MANUFACTURER'SSUBMITTALS PER THE SPECIFICATIONS.
SEISMIC PROTECTION OF EQUIPMENT, DUCTWORK, PIPING AND UTILITIES SHALL BE PROVIDED IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 16 OF THEINTERNATIONAL BUILDING CODE, 2006 EDITION. ALL SEISMIC RESTRAINT AND BRACING SHALL BE SUBSTANTIATED BY MANUFACTURER'S SUBMITTALSPER THE SPECIFICATIONS. SEE 'SEISMIC AND WIND REQUIREMENTS FOR MECHANICAL SYSTEMS'.

CONTRACTOR SHALL RE-LEVEL ALL PIPING IN THE PLANT ONCE SYSTEM IS FILLED TO ACCOUNT FOR DEFLECTION IN THE SUPPORTING STEEL.
ALL VALVES, STRAINERS, CIRCUIT SETTERS, FLEXIBLE CONNECTORS, EQUIPMENT AND TANK CONNECTIONS, ETC SHALL HAVE FLANGED CONNECTIONS.THE CONTRACTOR SHALL INSTALL MATCHING FLANGES FOR ALL DEVICE CONNECTIONS THAT ARE FLANGED.
THE CONTRACTOR SHALL INSTALL UNIONS IN ALL EQUIPMENT, TANK, AND REMOVABLE PIPE MOUNTED DEVICE CONNECTIONS THAT ARE SCREWEDUNLESS NOTED, SHOWN, OR RECOMMENDED OTHERWISE.
CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE ALL WELD-O LET AND THREAD-O LET CONNECTIONS TO PIPING, ETC REQUIRED FOR ELECTRICAL, PLUMBING, ANDCONTROLS. PROVIDE A COORDINATION PLAN FOR ALL TRADES INDICATING ALL ITEMS ARE COORDINATED.

OUTDOOR AIR
EXHAUST FAN SEQUENCE OF OPERATION:FAN CONTROL:THE FAN SHALL BE CONTROLLED THROUGH A HAND-OFF-AUTO (H-O-A) SWITCH INTEGRAL WITH THEVARIABLE FREQUENCY DRIVE (VFD). WHEN THE SWITCH IS IN THE "AUTO" POSITION, THE FAN SHALL BESTARTED AND STOPPED AND FAN SPEED SHALL BE CONTROLLED THROUGH THE CENTRAL PLANT MANAGER(CPM). WHEN THE SWITCH IS IN THE "HAND" POSITION, THE FAN SHALL RUN AND THE FAN SPEED SHALLBE CONTROLLED THROUGH A MANUAL SPEED ADJUSTMENT INTEGRAL TO THE VFD. WHEN THE SWITCH IS INTHE "OFF" POSITION, THE FAN AND DRIVE SHALL REMAIN OFF. WHEN THE STARTING CIRCUIT IS ACTIVATEDBY THE CPM OR BY PLACING THE SELECTOR SWITCH IN "HAND" POSITION, THE VFD SHALL START UNLOADEDAND SHALL RAMP UP TO SPEED AS PROGRAMMED INTO THE VFD'S SAFETY CIRCUIT.
A SEPARATE SPACE TEMPERATURE SENSOR SHALL BE LOCATED IN THE CENTRAL PLANT (SEE DRAWINGS FORLOCATION). UPON A RISE IN SPACE TEMPERATURE ABOVE TEMPERATURE SETPOINT (ADJ.) THE CPM SHALLINCREASE THE FAN SPEED INCREMENTALLY TO MAINTAIN TEMPERATURE SET POINT. UPON A FALL IN SPACETEMPERATURE THE REVERSE SHALL OCCUR.
REFRIGERANT MONITORING:EXHAUST FAN SHALL BE CONNECTED TO REFRIGERANT MONITORING SYSTEM. UPON REFRIGERANT MONITORINGALARM EXHAUST FAN SHALL BE RAMPED TO MAXIMUM CFM SETTING (SEE SCHEDULE). CONTROL SYSTEMSHALL KEEP FANS AT MAXIMUM UNTIL MANUALLY RESET BY AUTHORIZED PERSONNEL.OVERRIDE:CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE A MANUAL TIMED OVERRIDE SWITCH ON THERMOSTAT THAT INCREASES FANSPEED TO MAXIMUM FOR AN ADJUSTABLE AMOUNT OF TIME.
