HUMAN RIGHTSEDUCATION INTERNSHIPSPRING 2018
Join the Montclair State University Holocaust, Genocide, and Human Rights Education Project to gain experience in the field of human rights education.
This competitive internship is open to all Montclair State undergraduate students. Interns accepted into the program must register for a three-credit course: EDFD 449 - Current Issues in American Education.
Interns will select a human rights education subject of their choice, research that topic and create a professional quality lesson plan. Interns will then visit a local public school and teach their lesson plan.
Possible human rights topics include:
• The Holocaust• Black Lives Matter• Latino/a Civil Rights• Anti-Semitism• Women’s History• Native American Civil Rights• Refugee Crises• Anti-Muslim Bias• LGBTQ Rights and More
In addition, students will help run dynamic public programs including conferences, films and teacher workshops on human rights education.
