Urbanites are time-starvedindividuals who fit their mediaaround their busy daily lives ratherthan vice versa, and so make up acore demographic of Metroreaders. They enjoy active sociallives making regular and well-above-average trips to bars, restaurants and the cinema.

For example, 43 per cent ofUrbanites drink two or three timesa week, compared to 31 per centof all Dubliners.

On average, an Urbanite willdrink 19 pints and 3.35 bottles ofwine every month.

Some 94 per cent of Urbaniteswill head to the pub for a scoop, while the figure drops to 78 percent when all adults are counted.

While 28 per cent of Dublinadults never go to the cinema, only seven per cent of Urbanitesclaim the same.

Research shows that this groupalso has a much larger proportion

of ‘early adopters’ within it,making them leaders in fashion, technological and travel trends.

Almost 70 per cent of Urbanitessay dressing well is important, andmore than 40 per cent admit theylove shopping for clothes. Nearlya third admit to owning two credit

or debit cards and will spend anaverage of E409 per month onthem, compared to the E360 theaverage Dubliner spends. Overall,Urbanites travel more, go outmore, drink more, socialise more, talk more and spend more whiledoing it. Sound like you? If so,
