Senior Oral Presentation
How to Organize Your Content Effectively
Objective: Learn how to organize your content for your senior oral presentation
Success Criteria: Evaluate examples of senior oral presentations
Tutorial
Content Standards3
Meets Standard
You MUST meet standard in all three areas in order to pass. If you do not meet standard
you WILL NOT pass.Opening Interesting opening; engages audience.
Focus Topic of the presentation is clear. Content consistently supports the purpose.
Organization Important ideas and information are identified for the audience. Information/ideas are presented in a logical sequence with few lapses. Transitions and connections are made. Closing effectively summarizes the presentation.
It must be engaging. “Hello, my name is . . . “ will NOT meet standard
Some Ideas:◦ quote/proverb/saying that is meaningful to you◦ bit of a song or poem◦ costume or piece of cultural clothing◦ video clip / still image◦ prop or object
