ADVENT STEWARDSHIP MESSAGE
“Mary said, “Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord. May it be done to me according to your
word...” (Luke 1:26-38) On the Second Sunday of Advent we noted that
“John [the Baptist] was just being John”. He
discerned God’s will for him and did it. Now we
hear of “Mary just being Mary,” a young teenager
in a tiny hamlet on a craggy hilltop in the northern
region of Galilee. Mary heard
a message from God so
amazing she wondered how it
could happen. But she
realized it was God’s will for
her and she consented. There
were many details and
consequences she could not
know, but she said “Yes!” to be
the human mother of God incarnate. That was
“Mary just being Mary.” That is all God asked of
her and that is all God asks of us – to be all that
God created us to be. For us, just as for John the
Baptist and Mary, we begin by identifying,
accepting, and developing all the unique talents,
abilities, and gifts God has given to each of us,
and then using them to the best of our ability for
ourselves and for others. Is that not the greatest
gift we can give to Jesus when we celebrate his
birthday on Christmas? Is our present for Jesus
ready?
Thank you to the Estate of Mary
Ellery for the generous donation
to Holy Trinity Parish, St.
Michael School and St. Michael
Cemetery.
Mary was an enlivened member
of our parish. Our prayers go to Mary and her
family.

Dear Parishioners, Family, Friends and Guests, One of the phrases Christmas brings to mind is "Peace on Earth. “ What a beautiful vision. It is at Christmas that this vision almost seems to be a possibility. We are kinder to one another. We think of others more often and give more than we do at any other time of the year. We carry a spirit of peace, In the midst of shopping, cooking and wrapping, take some time to find even a little peace and share it with others this holiday season and into the New Year. We hope that you and your family and friends have a blessed and safe Christmas filled with a spirit of joy, laughter and love. We thank you for all you do to support our parish and school. Be assured of our prayers for you during this Christmas season.

go out Deacon Gary and Fr. Carlson. A final
thanks goes out to ALL Holy Trinity Parish
family members,

HOSPITAL & HOMEBOUND PARISHIONERS
When registering at a hospital, members should
register as members of Holy Trinity Parish in
Pinconning and then someone from the parish will
visit. But, don’t assume that the hospital will
notify your parish. This goes also if you know you
will be homebound and unable to attend church
for a while. Arrangements can be made for visits
and receiving communion. For more information,
please contact the office at 879-2141.
In your kindness and prayers
please remember the soul of
Marjorie “Marge” R. Fletcher
Mary “Sue” Berthiaume
May they enjoy the great blessing of
eternal life.
