HIGH SCHOOL SESI CASCAVEL - PARANA -
BRAZIL
WORKSHOP ENDLESS HIGHWAY
Proposed challenge
As we demonstrate the possibility of cultural and behavioral change on society solid traffic laws, and of urban mobility in order to reduce accidents?
BACKGROUND
The industrial development of the twentieth century led to considerable increase in the fleet of vehicles in circulation around the world. The road systems and urban planning in general, could not match the increase in traffic volume. In this way, quality of life, especially in big cities, was impaired, contributing to the increase in violence in traffic and thus many deaths. In addition, there is the issue of urban mobility, which has become one of main challenges of cities.
If, over the centuries, the evolution of transport has always been next to the economic development of the railway to the automotive industry, today the equation has taken on new variables. Cities are reviewing their models and finding alternative and sustainable growth strategies. Therefore, the workshop and his studies run counter to the needs and possibilities for the city of Cascavel.
