FALL 2004
THERE’S SOMETHING ABOUT DANNER HIKING BOOTS THAT MAKES YOU WANT TO GET UP ANDGO LIKE YOU’VE NEVER GONE BEFORE. Maybe it has to do with our almost instinctive approach to feature-rich
design. Or maybe it’s that we combine the best available materials. Or maybe it’s just what happens when a salt-of-the-earth boot
company embraces the art-and-science of crafting the best damn trail boots possible. Decide for yourself. Whether it’s one of our
Radicals featuring TERRA FORCE™, or one of our Agitators, or even our casual shoes. Once you Danner up, there’s no going back.

DEEP INSIDE A DANNER BOOT
DANNER ELITE SERIES: THE ELEMENTAL STORY OF BOOTS BUILT FOR A PURPOSE SINCE 1932. Back when life was a little harder,
a man’s sense of value was a little keener and life’s rewards were a little simpler,
one of the best rewards was owning a pair of authentic Danner boots. Famous for
their undying durability, their gratifying fit, their strength and stability and their
fatigue-reducing comfort.
A good many of the boots Danner makes today are direct
descendents of those over-built leather boots of the past. And because
so many Danner loyalists still favor that 1930s notion of getting what
you pay for, we’ve decided to officially designate these
models as the Danner Elite Series.
With boots like these to our credit,
we’ve never had much reason to consider the
idea of celebrity endorsers, trendy style cues or
slick ad campaigns. Better, we think, to just keep
playing it straight up with folks like you: The ones who
understand why boots in the Danner Elite Series still have a
place on this earth. For our part, we’re honored to keep making
them available.
And to those who don’t grasp the concept of Danner
authenticity, we respectfully encourage them to look
elsewhere. Because there are plenty of johnny-come-latelies
and cheap knockoffs to choose from.
ACADIA 8"People are passionateabout these duty boots. After all, Acadia provedthat staying comfortablehelps you stay in control.

EVERY PAIR OF BOOTS IS A PROMISE.If ever a name stood for anything, Danner stands for uncompromising quality. That, and a decades-old
culture of bootmaking craftsmanship and accountability that sets an example every step of the way, from the factory to your feet. Anything less is unacceptable. Anything less, and it wouldn’t be Danner.
SUPER RAINFOREST 8"You ever feel invincible? Like you can take on anythingor anyone? That’s how it feelsto strut around in these intimidating Danner classics.
P r e s e n t i n g t h e D a n n e r E l i t e S e r i e sTHE LOWDOWN ON STITCHDOWN STABILITY. Stability. It’s the essential benefit of the wider
platform of stitchdown boot construction. First we shape the upper to the last. Then we flare out the leather
and cement it to the midsole. Next, the midsole and upper are stitched together with sturdy, interlocking
thread that makes for an even stronger attachment. To wrap it up, the midsole/upper cements to the outsole.
Although such construction will last for years and years, Danner boots can be re-soled for extra longevity.

BOSS OF THE BOOT WORLD SINCE 1932. Danner has always built boots to
be as purposeful as those who wear them. We’re talkin’ rugged-yet-comfortable ATVs for the feet,
made by uncompromising bootmakers who evangelize workmanship. Danner boots transcend trends
and lead by example. They fit better and last longer, because they’re built better than necessary.
So they perform when and where it matters most, rewarding the wearer with confidence.
That confidence is partly due to the materials we use. Stellar stuff. Like GORE-TEX®,
Cordura® from DuPont, Vibram® outsoles, Thinsulate™ Insulation from 3M, Cambrelle™ nylon and
hyper-durable, rust-resistant hardware (made to order for Danner).
Quality, craftsmanship and authenticity have always ruled the day at Danner. Our boots
are conceived, built and worn by experts who celebrate performance and cuss the lack of it. And
Danner consistently wins their praise.
