HealthLiteracyandOpheliaMasterclassAtwo-dayintensivemasterclassformanagers,executives,healthprofessionals,healthplanners,policymakers,researchers,andthoseactiveinhealthpromotionandcommunityservices.

Using the latest health literacy research and practices, this masterclass willdemonstratehowtodevelopfit-for-purposeinterventionstoreduceinequalitiesinhealthserviceaccessandengagement.

Themasterclasswill introducetheOpheliaprocess(OPtimisingHEalthLIterAcyandAccess),astructuredprocessforidentifyingandrespondingtohealthliteracyneedsby co-designing locally relevant interventions.Measurement of health literacywillalso be presented, including thewidely used Health Literacy Questionnaire (HLQ)anditsuseinneedsassessment,evaluation,andqualityimprovement.
