President’s Letter—May 2016- William Bailey
Let’s talk about the past Fun Run to Victory Junction and Nascar Hall of Fame. Besides getting lost
because the GPS chose to takes us the long way around and having to make all kinds of U-turns, overall I
had a good time. Victory Junction is something to see, with what all they do for the kids.
Cathy Davis (Directory of Special Events) went out of her way and stayed to help us when the bus broke
down. In the camp which is not only for handicap children but also for those with an illness (such as
cancer), they offer some of the following popular adventures: Riding horses
Sports and recreation
Archery Bowling
Theater
Arts and Crafts Fishing (catch, kiss, release)
Water park with controlled temperature
All of this is at no cost for the family of the camper.
Then the next day, we went to the Nascar Hall of Fame and had a great time!

Cruise In time has arrived – WOOOOHOOOOO!! Let’s see how it goes
at our new location at Kmart. There will be a few changes in how you
work the trailer; we will be having various vendors throughout the sea-
son, so we won’t be selling the snacks or drinks. If it is necessary at
some point that we need to sell those items, we will access at that time.
Come on out and join us!
The third annual trek to Victory Junction was made at the end of April,
although there were some mechanical issues, for the most part the trip
was fun and exciting. Chad and Cathy at Victory Junction are just as
amazing as the camp itself and both are hoping to attend the Winter An-
gel Expo in January 2017. 130 bears and a few blankets were given and
Austin Petty made another appearance. (He is a cutie pie). Theresa also
rewarded Chad with the Appreciation Plaque from the 2016 Winter An-
gel Expo.
Car shows, car shows, car shows, be sure to check out the calendar as
well as the may flyers seen posted within the newsletter. I am going to
try my best to get “Junebug” to as many as I can.
Please remember those that have experienced a death or have illness
within their family, pray for
comfort and peace.
Much love and happiness!!
Lisa
