Low rainfall has caused crop failure, which coupled with outbreak of sheep pox epidemic in small livestock, has affected household food security.
A huge loss of livestock is being reported in the areas, that is one of the biggest sources of livelihood for the people.
Although the food is available in the nearest market ,but people don’t have adequate power of purchase.
Peoples are also facing high cost of transportation in most of the areas, therefore they are unable to reach health facilities.
Cases of motility of Peacock are also reported due to rani Khaet deases. As per focus group discussions conducted at different villages;
o Villagers are unable to pay for the transport to buy food or to reach hospital. o It costs about 800-5,000/- to reach District Headquarter or nearest hospital
facility where they could get proper treatment. o Livestock being main source of income was used either to get food supplies or
was sold in such situations. The main reason behind death of animals reported by villagers is sheep pox.
