Scenario
Organization ABC Laptop Services wants to payout their sales reps based on below matrix/rates
Total Order Line Value(for Laptop)
% commission payout (on total order line value)
0-1000 5
1000-2000 10
2000-9999999 15
For example if a salesrep has order line with order line amount 1299, he should be paid 10% of total
order line amount as commission (1299*10%= 129.90).
Pre-Requisites
All required feeding applications are configured (General Ledger, HRMS, CRM Resources etc)
Required table columns are configured (Calculation & Classification) in OIC under Incentive
Comp Administrator>Workbench Configuration>Configure Table and Columns for
‘CN_COMMISSION_HEADERS’
Required OIC Profiles and Parameter Setups are completed
Required OIC periods are open
Product, Product Hierarchy and Product Classification is configured in OIC
Refer OIC Implementation guide for more detail on base OIC setups
1) Navigate to Plan Administrator responsibility>Maintain Plan Components>Expression
Create input expression as below (note: commission_headers.transaction_amount is configured
as Order Value on this instance)
2) Navigate to Plan Administrator responsibility>Maintain Plan Components>Expression
Create output expression as below (note: commission_headers.transaction_amount is
configured as Order Value on this instance)
3) Navigate to Plan Administrator responsibility>Maintain Plan Components>Rate Dimension
Create Rate Dimension as below
4) Navigate to Plan Administrator responsibility>Maintain Plan Components>Rate Table
Create rate table as below and assign rate dimension to it. And click Update Rates button.
5) Provide the rate percentage and save
6) Navigate to Plan Administrator responsibility>Maintain Plan Components>Formula
Provide formula name and other details as below
7) Provide input/output expressions.
8) Assign rate table to formula
9) Navigate to Plan Administrator responsibility>Maintain Plan Components>Plan Element
Create plan element and assign formula to it
10) Assign Product/Revenue class to Plan Element
11) Navigate to Plan Administrator responsibility>Maintain Plan Components>Create Comp Plan
Create Comp Plan as below and assign Plan Element to it.
Transaction
&
Calculation Process
1. Navigate to Compensation Manager>Tasks>Maintain Transactions
Click on CREATE button
2. Enter salesrep and other required transaction attributes and SAVE the transaction.
3. Compensation Manager>Tasks>Maintain Transactions>Load
Run process for specific date range to load transaction created
4. Compensation Manager>Tasks>Maintain Transactions>Calculate Compensation
Click on Calculate Compensation button
5. Provide Calculation parameter values for calculation batch.
Please note, run test calculation for your specific salesrep else it would submit process for all
salesrep, which is not recommended.
6. Compensation Manager>Tasks>Maintain Transactions
Query for transaction created for test and verify commission amount.
