“Grandparents are a family’s greatest treasure, founders of loving legacy,
greatest story tellers and the keepers of tradition.”
Grandparents play an important role in the life of every child. They pamper
them more than their parents and they are their best friends. They leave a
lasting impression in the child’s life with special love and care.
So, to facilitate and honour the Grandparents, our school celebrated
Grandparent’s Day on 9th September 2017. The event started with a prayer
song, followed by the welcome speech by our KG-1 and Mont-II students.
Children were elated to surprise their dear grandparents with their exciting
performances.
Our tiny tots of Nursery and Mont I were in colourful attires, with the boys
dressed as “Chota Bheem” and “Spiderman” and the girls dressed as
“Barbie” and “Fairy” were all very happy to perform before their
Grandparents. They tapped their feet and danced to the tunes of Chota
Bheem, Spiderman, Barbie and Fairy songs when it was their turn.
Grandparents played the games with their grandchildren with great zeal
and enthusiasm. The winners of each game were presented with
handcrafted cards.
Our beloved Principal ma’am, Mrs Geetha Dixit, addressed the
Grandparents and thanked them for taking part in the event. She further
emphasized the importance of the day.
Grandparents who had attended the program felt overwhelmed and
cherished. This was definitely evident from the happy and cheerful smiles
on the faces of the audience!
