Technological Education has changed dramatically over the years, and has become a highly valuable
component of a complete high school education. This introductory elective course allows students to
explore the vital and necessary skills required in today’s changing world. Students will experience and
develop technological knowledge and skills introduced in the elementary science & technology program.
Students will use a variety of tools, equipment, and software commonly used in industry. Students will
begin to explore secondary, postsecondary education, and training pathways leading to careers in
technology-related fields. Saltfleet’s grade 9 Tech program is fun and activity-based, allowing
students to learn basic skills through a series of practical activities and projects, with an emphasis on
safety and problem-solving. The students will be exposed to the different Technology programs
currently offered at Saltfleet in grades 10 – 12:
