About me:
I am an aspiring interior designer with a passion
for hospitality and residential design. I
thoroughly enjoy the creative process–
especially conceptualizing new ideas and design
solutions. I am from Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Aside
from Interior Design, I also have a passion for
travel and hope to visit many exciting places in
the future. My love for traveling is closely tied
to my love of interior design, as I enjoy seeing
new places and the impact that the local design
can have on a individual’s experience and
memories of a specific place.

The goal for this project was to design a kitchen that was
spacious and efficient enough to handle multiple cooks, as
the grandparents have moved in with the family. Also, the
mother is a stay-at-home mom and homeschool teacher and
desired something that would feel relaxing and clean at all
times. A cool, clean color scheme was chosen; and simple,
elegant materials were specified such as wood flooring and
marble countertops.

The goal of the homeschool portion of this home renovation
was to create a space that encouraged a hands-on learning
Approach, but could also be shut off from the rest of the home
in order for the mother and children to “turn school off.” The
design inspiration came from the tents found in the children’s
book Where the Wild Things Are. The color palette was drawn
from this as were the draperies that are used to separate the
reading loft from the rest of the space.

The goal of this project was to create a high-end
bistro and innovative cooking school that was
destination specific. Limpopo, South Africa, was
the chosen destination for my project.
Preliminary research was done to determine what
the local cooking methods were and the type of
dishes that are prepared. In this region, meals are
served family-style and most cooking is done on
large grills. Using this as inspiration– grill-top
tables were designed for the main dining area. The
overall aesthetics were inspired by the rustic
lifestyle of the local culture, and their bright
clothing and artwork.

The Community compassionate Care Center was
comprised of a childcare facility, women’s
shelter, public medical facility, and public
legal offices. Sustainable design played a big
role in this project. The concept for this
project was to create a restorative and highly
Functional facility
using elements taken from nature such as
natural lighting, green and tan color schemes,
and tactile texture on the furnishings. The
space should inspire its inhabitants to regain
freedom and security over their lives.

The goal of this project was to design a custom reception desk for
the medical wing’s waiting area in the Community Compassionate
Care center. Since sustainable design was a big part of this project,
the design for this piece was based off of a tree. It features acrylic
trees and the face of the desk has a custom designed “living wall”
with live plants.

The concept for the hotel lobby and restaurant is to create
a rich, inviting destination for the senses inspired by brass
instruments. Not only is Valencia known for its food, it also
has a well-known musical culture, which is one of its biggest
attractions. A warm color palette utilizing the brass of the
instruments and bold accent colors will be used throughout the
space to reinforce the rich nature of Valencian culture. Sleek
surfaces will be found on the floor,
millwork, and fixtures in the space; and will serve as con-
trast to the rough texture on the wall-surfaces. Drawing upon the
curvilinear nature of brass instruments, curving lines and
patterns will be used in the layout and ceiling plan of the
lobby and restaurant to help with way-finding. Warm lighting will
be used to enhance the colors and
texture of the selected materials. To emphasize the musical
Inspiration, a stage and three-piece band will be located in the
atrium dining area.
