Congratulations to the following students who represented Glendale East Public School at the Zone Public Speak-ing Finals at Booragul Public School.
A special congratulations goes to Alex Holliday who received a Highly Commended Award for her speech on the day. Well done Alex!
Welcome back to Term 4. I trust all our students and their families have had a great time together over the holidays. We are set for another busy term with excursions, swimming carnivals, Grandfriends Day, reports, presentation day and much more. Please regularly check our communication methods to stay on top of what is going on. Thank you to all the parents who have engaged with giving us feedback over the past weeks. We are now devising a new Homework Policy and Reporting Procedures that more closely align with student, staff and community expectations. We will also be using the results of the parent and student Tell Them From Me surveys to assist us in the future directions of our school. I look forward to working closely with you to inform what we do, to best meet the needs of all our wonderful students. As school resumes, I would like to remind all our families to please be mindful of our neighbours, especially around drop off and pick up times. Specifically please remember the following: Pandel Avenue is a Kiss and Ride zone meaning you cannot park and leave your
car Never park your car across driveways When exiting and entering the school, please be mindful of our neighbours by
limiting noise to a minimum.
Thank you for your understanding in this matter. Have a great fortnight! Mr Forbes
