General info
The GEA YieldJector is a heavy-duty application based injector with
a fine injection pattern for high accuracy injection of low profile and
sensitive products. It can inject boneless and bone-in pork, beef,
poultry and fish products. The GEA YieldJector has a conveyor belt
and is PLC controlled via an operator friendly touchpanel.
• Heavy-duty application injector for bone-in and boneless
• Very dense needle pattern (7 mm)
• Accurate brine distribution from top to bottom
• For bone-in and boneless products
• Separate brine flow control for each needle
Working principle
A belt moves the products a fixed steps under the needle head. It
then stops and the injection cycles starts. The stripper plate keeps
the product in place while the product is injected. If a needle
touches bone, the needle retracts into the head and this needle stops
with injection. A centrifugal pump feeds the needle head, with
constant pressure, with brine from the brine tank. Return brine is
filtered in the brine tank and then recycled.
• Belt moves products to fixed steps under needle head
• Independed needle retraction for bone in products
• Brine supply valves opens, needles starts to inject
• Centrifugal pumps feeds needle head with constant pressure
Performance
Brine distribution is accurately controlled in the GEA AccuJector
using advanced needle heads with individual needles that are
automatically adjusted by air pressure. The injector optimizes brine
distribution in the meat, around and even under bones, resulting in
the smallest possible deviations and optimal brine retention
(minimal drip). When a needle is obstructed by a bone, it retracts
and stops injecting, avoiding brine pockets and bone damage.
Positioned in a close pattern, the 2 mm diameter needles ensure
optimal brine distribution.
• Injection levels up to 80 %
• Capacity up to 12.000 kg/h
• High accuracy because of to individual needle control

Output quality
The injector optimizes brine distribution in the meat, around and
even under bones, resulting in the smallest possible deviations and
optimal brine retention (minimal drip). For low injection levels
(positive down injection), needles are opened and they inject during
the down stroke only. For high injection levels (positive down and
up injection), injection takes place during both the down and up
strokes is with needles open. Delicate bones are not damaged as the
required counter pressure for needle retraction is adjustable. Meat
fibre remains 100% intact.
• Close needle pattern for maximum accuracy
• Individual control of brine flow per needle
• Adjustable counter pressure for needle retraction
• Side port needles and hypodermic needles (fish)
Hygiene
The GEA YieldJector is easy to clean and inspect thanks to the
integrated needle flushing system.
