LOCATION The expanding town of Huntingdon has a current population of about 23,000 and lies 60 miles north of London, 16 miles north-west of Cambridge and 19 miles south of Peterborough. The A14 trunk road by-passes the town providing a dual-carriageway route linking the East Coast ports with the M11, A1 and M1/M6. The A1 lies 3 miles to the west of the town centre. There is a main line railway station in Huntingdon with a frequent service to Kings Cross, with a journey time of approximately 1 hour.
DESCRIPTION
The site is situated on the edge of Huntingdon town centre with main frontage to Castle Moat Road. The site comprises a flat and level area of land amounting to 0.153 hectare (0.377 acres) or thereabouts. The site was previously occupied by The British Red Cross Society and comprised a single storey structure of approximately 359.4 sq m (3,820 sq ft) together with external car parking. The base of the building is still in situ although the building itself was demolished in 2010/2011. The site is within easy walking distance of the town centre shops, amenities, railway station and bus station.
RIGHT OF WAY It should be noted that there is a right of way to Numbers 10, 11 and 12, The Walks East. Further information can be provided by the agents on request.
PLANNING No specific enquiries have been made of Huntingdonshire District Council, however, we believe that the site would be suitable for residential development or other uses, subject to planning permission.
