Encountering Christ capital campaign The Encountering Christ campaign is an effort to build a vibrant and secure future for the Diocese of Austin! Holy Rosary has had a posi-tive response and great success so far – thank you to all who have participated! 30% of the funds raised will come back to directly ben-efit our parish. We will use these funds to construct an outdoor pavil-ion for events such as our future bazaars. Currently, we have surpassed our goal, we are currently at 106% of our goal. Now the have surpassed the goal we will be receiving 70% of the total over the goal amount back to our parish! Thank you to those that have made pledge to help us surpass our goal, and we ask that if you haven’t made a pledge to please prayer-fully consider making a pledge. Holy Rosary T-Shirts - Last chance before they go to storage!!! We still have a few Holy Rosary T-shirts available for sale. Mass Intentions The Mass Intentions calendar for 2019 will open on Tuesday, Octo-ber 30th. We will be available to assist you booking your Masses between 9:00 am and 2:00 pm. Mass Intentions Stipend is $5 per day. Please note that Masses may be rescheduled due to Father Ber-nard’s schedule; any Masses rescheduled will be moved to the next available day. Mature Catholics come to Mass on this occasion with love, not be-cause of the pain of mortal sin to miss it. The Parish Office will be closed on Thursday, November 1st in observance of the Holy Day. Collection for Cemetery The collection for the cemetery is on Sunday, November 4. KJT District VIII Fall Social & Meeting The KJT District VIII Fall social and meeting will be held in Frenstat for all District VIII members, their families and guests on Sunday November 11thbeginning with registration at 11:30 am. The wonder-ful turkey and dressing meal will be served at 12:00 noon. We will charge a nominal charge of $5.00 per adult and $3.00 for 12 and un-der for the meal. A short meeting will follow. Donations of door prizes from your society are welcome. District VIII will provide all the food, drink and dessert. Please notify your Society President or Secretary the weekend before if you will be attending as the District needs a head count to order the food. All are welcome! St. Mary Parish Festival The St. Mary’s Parish Festival will be this Sunday, October 21st, at St. Mary in Caldwell. The festival will begin with Mass at 10:00 am. Afterward, join St. Mary’s in the parish hall for a live and silent auc-tion, games for the kids. The Knights of Columbus will be selling Turkey and Dressing plates for $10 each and the Our Lady of Guada-lupe Society will be providing Tamales by the dozen for $12 per dozen.
Texas Conquest Texas Conquest a Catholic boys organization is having a retreat for fifth grade through high school boys. Texas A&M college guys and Legionary priests will be leading boys to grow in the masculinity God has intended for their lives. The retreat theme is Man Up: God's Way. Morning of Reflection - Save the Date Women, Save the Date for a "Morning of Reflection," on Friday, November 30th from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm at the PAC at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bryan. It is tempting at this time of the year to tell ourselves that we don't have time for "reflection." But what bet-ter gift to give ourselves and our families than to launch the season in communion with Christ? The theme of this reflection is "Gratitude" and will include talks by lay speakers as well as Fr. Michael Sulli-van, L.C. Frozen Vietnamese Egg Rolls There are frozen Vietnamese egg rolls available for $20 a bag of 25 rolls at St. Mary's office. Supply is limited, get yours before they are gone. 2nd Annual Adoption Celebration Mass All those who have ever made an adoption plan for a child, adopted a child, or those who were adopted are invited to celebrate National Adoption Month at the 2nd Annual Adoption Celebration Mass that will be November 7th at 7:00 pm Rev. James Misko will celebrate the Mass, which will be in the chapel at St. Louis King of France Catholic Church in Austin, Texas. Anyone who has been touched by adoption or who has a heart for those in the adoption triad is invited to attend the Mass and give thanks for the gift of adoption and to pray for all those whose lives have been affected by it. Bernard decided to change the Mass schedule on Saturday at St. Mary. Everything will be moved earlier by one hour. The Sunday Mass remains the same. From December 1, 2018, the beginning of the new liturgical year, the schedule on Saturday will be as follows:
4:00 pm Eucharistic adoration and confession 5:00 pm English Mass 6:30 pm Spanish Mass
