» In March 2013 Ballou PR was engaged to launch Flipboard’s new app in the UK, France and Germany.

» Over the course of two weeks Ballou secured 144 pieces of coverage in a range of leading titles including The Daily Telegraph, The Guardian and The Financial Times in the UK; Les Echos, Métro and Presse-Citron in France; and Bild.de, Computerbild and The Wall Street Journal in Germany.

» Ballou created buzz around Flipboard’s launch by securing seven pre-briefings with key industry journalists and developing bespoke pitches for national, technology and business publications.

» By leveraging Ballou’s strong relationship with leading journalists across Europe, coverage was secured in titles identified by Flipboard and Ballou as key to the success of the campaign.

» The launch resulted in three million downloads of Flipboard 2.0 in two weeks.
