Lion on the loose at Longleat!! A lion escaped from the world famous Safari Park

earlier today. In a statement released from Longleat they reported that three keepers and a vet were in pursuit ready to sedate the lion when captured. The lion was contained in an area where it did not pose a threat to the public. It was a sunny but cold day. However the Zoo was closed immediately in the interests of public safety.

Fire breaks out in Local Church Last Wednesday a fire broke out in a

local Harrow church. When the fireman arrived they reported that the main door to the church was locked but they believed the church was empty. Witnesses expressed concerns that there were 6 pigeons in the courtyard of the church but they were unharmed. The fire took several hours to contain and the roof was badly damaged.

Tory Party Conference The Conservative Party conference

commenced this Sunday in Birmingham. The Tories where disappointed that one of their members had defected to UKIP and early news reports were dominated by this news. David Cameron, who wore a blue suit, is hoping that this conference will boost their chances of being re-elected later this year.
