FieldEmergency tools are to
cut off the facemask even if the athlete is breathing.
Splint bags are for displaced injures in any
sport.
Ice is needed on the field because no athlete that
just needs ice will go back into the Athletic Training
Room.

blood accidents.

Guidelines
Tape is used to support sprains and strains
If there is a torn ligament, tape is there in place of it.
Always cross the joint in question.
Taping is unique to each person as long as the task is accomplished.
Can cause blisters, so be particular about how you put it on.
My be allergic to adhesive on tapes or sprays.
Finger TapeCalled Buddy taping.
Also can do a single finger, but have to
support the joint that is injured.

around the wrist. Only do strips or you will cut off
circulation.
