• What is it?• An idiom is a group of words that has come to
have a non-literal meaning (costs an arm and a leg)
• Specifically for the SAT, an idiom consists of particular pairs of verbs and prepositions that go together

5.Independent/Dependent Clauses
You will:
• Travel to each station and receive a guide sheet with explanations and exercises
• Review the explanations/rules with your group then complete the exercises
• About 8 minutes per station – so get to work
• Take your handouts with you, they will serve as a review packet for you
